Atlases can contain multiple layers that differ regarding the map source (OpenStreetMap Mapnik, ...) and
zoom level.
If a map extends the maximum map size defined by the user Mobile Atlas Creator automatically fragments the selected area into smaller map parts.
The example shows such an area that has been fragmented into 2 smaller maps.

Sometimes only certain regions of an area are needed. The screenshot shows an atlas that contains maps of
OpenCycleMap, in detail the maps of three different cities of the same zoom level.
If you prefer to have all three maps in one layer instead of three you can merge them into one by using Drag & Drop
in the atlas content tree view.
