Eclipse Adoptium OpenJDK for Windows

MOBAC requires an installed 64 bit Java Runtime version.

MOBAC version 2.2.2+

Java Runtime version 11 or 17 or 21 or newer is required.

MOBAC version 2.0 - 2.2.1

Java Runtime version 8 or 11 or 17 or newer is required.

The recommended Java Runtime for MOBAC is Eclipse Adoptium OpenJDK 17. You only need the Java Runtime (JRE) but the Java Development Kit (JDK) is easier to install as it comes with a nice installer.

When executing the OpenJDK installer make sure to enable the two options that are disabled by default:

Set JAVA_HOME variable

JavaSoft (Oracle) registry keys

If you don't enable those options MOBAC will not be able to find the installed Java Runtime!
